Closing of the Year

What a year this has been! I am so grateful to my friend, Gabrielle Riel, for encouraging me to return to broadcasting! My first gig was at the Mardi Gras event in St John.  Since then I've had the pleasure of DJing at The Temple in Winterfell, (a regular gig!), once a month.  I was also honored, (and extremely nervous to be on Radio Riel), as I joined Gabrielle Riel for the Halloween event in NeoVictoria. Overall, it has been such a wonderful experience sharing music with my friends in Second Life.  Thank you, to all of my new friends who show up to dance and listen.  I am so happy to share the music that I love and to see that you enjoy it! For the approaching New Year I've been making some changes that will allow more versatility in the way I can broadcast.  My irreplaceable, techie, other-half has set up a second stream that I can use as a Radio Station.  This has much potential for fun, with my immediate goal to re-broadcast the music from my live events in Seco

Halloween Show on Radio Riel

I am so excited to join Gabrielle Riel as co-presenter of a Halloween show on Radio Riel ! Radio Riel will play Halloween-themed music all day on October 31st, but starting at 6:00 pm North American Pacific Time, Gabrielle Riel and I will present a special, two-part show.  Gabrielle will present the first half of the show, then I will take over the stream from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. This show will be broadcast live on  Radio Riel 's Main Stream and presented in Second Life at the annual Halloween party in  Neo Victoria . My playlist will include old-school Goth and dark-metal, and other cerebral, moody music that evokes  Bram Stoker , Whitley Strieber , or Anne Rice novels and various films about Vampires. If you care to listen outside of Second Life there is an application called TuneIn , (which is available for download from Google apps and Apple store), to listen on your cell phone, and also available through Roku to listen on your television. Happy Hallowed Evening!

Gypsy Music at The Temple

Thursday, October 13th I'll be broadcasting live from The Temple in Winterfell. From 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM SLT (Pacific Time) Please join us in Second Life as we dance to contemporary "Gypsy Music"; Brass Bands, Klezmer, Circus Jazz, Ska, and Gypsy Punk. Come learn how to zagharoot , and wear something Purple ! My pachyderm pal will be giving out special gifts.

The Temple

I am honored to have been asked to DJ at " The Temple ", a new venue in Second Life on the Winterfell estate, owned by Princess Selena Anansi. Tonight, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Pacific Time I will be sharing World Dance music with an Eastern vibe. If you are not in Second Life but would like to hear the show, please tune in on  http://music.laboheme.live  (this isn't streaming radio, so you will only hear sound during the live broadcast.)

Turning Two in Second Life

In-world we call the anniversary of an avatar's creation a "Rez Day", and we celebrate the date with a party. My Rez Day is August 19th, and this year I'm celebrating my second year in Second Life. I'm hosting a gathering at my camp, high in the hills of St. John Woods.  I've heard that we may see some severe weather, but my camp is above the flood zone so we'll just kick back and enjoy the rain, the tunes, and each other's company. Since it's my Rez Day, and St. John Woods is a magical place, I'm going to play music that I find uplifting or reflective...for dance or trance, from my personal collection. Friends will receive your invitations soon; friends of friends are also welcome.

Mardi Gras 2016

My pachyderm pal and I traveled to St. John yesterday for an all day festival celebrating Mardi Gras.  I made my debut performance at 2:00 pm SLT (Second Life Time is equivalent to Pacific Time), following the well-seasoned DJ, Cadence Carolina. The Uptown St. John sim is the newest sim in the Riel Estates, managed by Gabrielle Riel .  Gabrielle creates some of the most beautiful sims in Second Life and while the St. John sim is still in development, it looked fantastic decorated for the Mardi Gras event. Gabrielle would be the first to tell you that she is assisted by many talented volunteers in the Riel Estates community, but she does put her heart and soul into her sim designs, and it shows. All in all, it was a spectacular event complete with a parade of floats that never stopped moving, live performances by DJs throughout the day, and a fireworks display. I would like to thank all of the attendees who came to hear me perform, and especially those who gifted me with Lindens!
