Closing of the Year

What a year this has been!

I am so grateful to my friend, Gabrielle Riel, for encouraging me to return to broadcasting!

My first gig was at the Mardi Gras event in St John.  Since then I've had the pleasure of DJing at The Temple in Winterfell, (a regular gig!), once a month.  I was also honored, (and extremely nervous to be on Radio Riel), as I joined Gabrielle Riel for the Halloween event in NeoVictoria.

Overall, it has been such a wonderful experience sharing music with my friends in Second Life.  Thank you, to all of my new friends who show up to dance and listen.  I am so happy to share the music that I love and to see that you enjoy it!

For the approaching New Year I've been making some changes that will allow more versatility in the way I can broadcast.  My irreplaceable, techie, other-half has set up a second stream that I can use as a Radio Station.  This has much potential for fun, with my immediate goal to re-broadcast the music from my live events in Second Life.

Please, stay tuned-for more.  I look forward to joining you for 2017.

Gettin' Funky with Pru

This Thursday night at The Temple I'll be playing a set of Soul, R&B, and Funk music, which I'm dedicating to some very special friends. There is a story behind the dedication, and it goes something like this: I had traveled from California to Ohio to visit family, and two friends from Second Life drove from their respective homes in nearby states to meet me there. The three of us decided to go out for "Girls' Night", and I thought that a "Wine Bar" sounded like a good place to drink and chat.  You see, in my part of California, a Wine Bar is typically a more quiet, sophisticated place where the music is lowered enough that one can have a conversation.  In that part of Ohio I learned, "Wine Bar", means that the venue doesn't have a hard-liqueur license. We walked into this place that was bustling with energy, a mobile DJ was playing very loud tunes and people were dancing and playing a giant game of  "Connect Four".  Hal...
