Mardi Gras 2016

My pachyderm pal and I traveled to St. John yesterday for an all day festival celebrating Mardi Gras.  I made my debut performance at 2:00 pm SLT (Second Life Time is equivalent to Pacific Time), following the well-seasoned DJ, Cadence Carolina.

The Uptown St. John sim is the newest sim in the Riel Estates, managed by Gabrielle Riel.  Gabrielle creates some of the most beautiful sims in Second Life and while the St. John sim is still in development, it looked fantastic decorated for the Mardi Gras event. Gabrielle would be the first to tell you that she is assisted by many talented volunteers in the Riel Estates community, but she does put her heart and soul into her sim designs, and it shows.

All in all, it was a spectacular event complete with a parade of floats that never stopped moving, live performances by DJs throughout the day, and a fireworks display.

I would like to thank all of the attendees who came to hear me perform, and especially those who gifted me with Lindens!  My pachyderm pal gave out wearable souvenir balloons to all who donated, so please check your inventory to see which color balloon you received.

I was honored to participate in such a prestigious event, (especially for my debut), and I am thrilled that you enjoyed my selection of Balkan Beats and Gypsy Jazz!

Once again it is time to celebrate the day Prudence was "born" in Second Life.  I admit, I am not feeling very celebratory this year.  The past year of my First Life has been so challenging, to say the least, that throwing a virtual party in SL feels more like a chore than a celebration. I no longer "live" in a region where an annual hurricane coincided with my RezDay.  While that was never a problem for me, it did limit my options for parties.  This year I have my own venue, The Lair, in Rosehaven, as well as a nice parcel next door.  I've considered hosting a party at The Lair, but I am leaning more toward a summer aquatic theme and have begun decorating my home parcel for a "swim" party. On Sunday, August 19, beginning at noon SLT, my friends are welcome to drop by to play in the water with me.    Mer and other aquatic avatars are encouraged, but not required. The Temple - Anniversary Retrospective

Please join me this Thursday, September 14, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, Pacific Time and SLT at The Temple in Rosehaven.
