Halloween Show on Radio Riel

I am so excited to join Gabrielle Riel as co-presenter of a Halloween show on Radio Riel!

Radio Riel will play Halloween-themed music all day on October 31st, but starting at 6:00 pm North American Pacific Time, Gabrielle Riel and I will present a special, two-part show.  Gabrielle will present the first half of the show, then I will take over the stream from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.

This show will be broadcast live on Radio Riel's Main Stream and presented in Second Life at the annual Halloween party in Neo Victoria.

My playlist will include old-school Goth and dark-metal, and other cerebral, moody music that evokes Bram Stoker, Whitley Strieber, or Anne Rice novels and various films about Vampires.

If you care to listen outside of Second Life there is an application called TuneIn, (which is available for download from Google apps and Apple store), to listen on your cell phone, and also available through Roku to listen on your television.

Happy Hallowed Evening!

Gettin' Funky with Pru

This Thursday night at The Temple I'll be playing a set of Soul, R&B, and Funk music, which I'm dedicating to some very special friends. There is a story behind the dedication, and it goes something like this: I had traveled from California to Ohio to visit family, and two friends from Second Life drove from their respective homes in nearby states to meet me there. The three of us decided to go out for "Girls' Night", and I thought that a "Wine Bar" sounded like a good place to drink and chat.  You see, in my part of California, a Wine Bar is typically a more quiet, sophisticated place where the music is lowered enough that one can have a conversation.  In that part of Ohio I learned, "Wine Bar", means that the venue doesn't have a hard-liqueur license. We walked into this place that was bustling with energy, a mobile DJ was playing very loud tunes and people were dancing and playing a giant game of  "Connect Four".  Hal...
