Skate Party!

Winter has arrived in Rosehaven!
The ponds have iced over just in time for a Skate Party
to celebrate December birthdays, rezdays, and the holidays in general.

Today, beginning at 3:30 pm, Pacific Standard Time and SLT, I will present 2 hours of 1980s Pop/Rock music for your ice skating pleasure.

These are the tunes that my typist, as an Intern for a "World Famous", radio personality, took requests for and heard on commercial radio rotation in the mid-1980s.  As part of that personality's entourage, I enjoyed some amazing holiday experiences that I will never forget. 

These are also the tunes that my typist, as a newlywed, danced to with my husband and friends at office holiday parties in the late 1980s, (when I was no longer with a radio station).

July Howl for the Buck Moon

This month our Howl falls on the Full Moon which happens to be called the "Buck Moon".  Apparently, the month of July is when young deer develop their antlers.  Musically, I've got nothing for that theme... but some of my favorite antlered-folk are fond of Classical music so I'll present a set of Dark Ambient, Alternative and Classical music at The Lair in Rosehaven. The Howl events occur twice a day; first at noon SLT and again at 7:00 pm SLT, to accommodate our denizens in different time zones.  Both events are 90 minutes in length. Friday, July 27, from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM and again 7:00 - 8:30 PM PDT and SLT, at The Lair, in Rosehaven (Second Life). Fantasy or Goth attire from any era is encouraged. When in doubt, wear Black! New Year, New Calendar

January brings us the Wolf Moon, and this year it's also a Blood Moon and a Super Moon!  We will Howl in anticipation of this moon. Please join me in Second Life as I present an eclectic assortment of tunes with a Wolf/Moon theme.
